Volunteer Opportunities

Delivery Coordinator

Loves time management and scheduling (it's all about logistics).

A delivery coordinator works with the logistics of completing orders of furniture to families. The Delivery Coordinator works around the logistics of weather and the availability of both clients and volunteers. The Delivery Coordinator is expected to work 10-20 hours with deliveries and pick up. Good fit for you? Email Volunteers@centralfurniturerescue.com

Sort and package

Enjoys working with people or independently.

A Sort and Package volunteer is expected to work 4 hours a week sorting and organizing our household items. Making boxes of pots & pans and dish sets for our clients is their main goal. These boxes are essential to our mission and helpful for our clients. Good fit for you? Email Volunteers@centralfurniturerescue.com

Client Coordinator

A Client Coordinator works directly with the clients and requires the ability to communicate without judgment. The Client Coordinator is expected to work 20 hours a week and gets referrals and contacts clients to determine the needs they are requesting. Good fit for you? Order Processing

A fun interior design like job

An Oder Processing volunteer pulls items requested by our clients. The ordering processing volunteer picks out large items and makes sure they fit the client’s space. The volunteer has the opportunity to pick out fun bedding and couches for our clients along with fun bonus items when available. Maximizing our client’s space is most important. Good fit for you? Donations Coordinator

You are the face of Central Furniture Rescue and the go-to person for all furniture and household items donated .

A Donations Coordinator responds to donation offers and makes sure the items fit our guidelines. Getting our donor’s information is also very important in our efforts to keeping track of everything. Setting up times for donations to be dropped off or picked up is key to keep things moving smoothly. Good fit for you? Volunteers@centralfurniturerescue.com

Driver

Enjoys being the driving force.

Our Driver volunteers are a key player in deliveries. We request that our driver volunteers have a valid driver's license and access to a van or truck. The Driver uses their personal vehicle to transport items while working with the client and volunteers to make the move go as smooth as possible. Good fit for you?
